A Northern Perspective - Some Good Ol' Northern Art!

Guess where I am again....

Manchester City - woooo. I'm going to have to find some new places to hang out. Now I promise you that I'm not currently camping out in the grounds and the next post won't be at the Stadium... but this one is - what you gonna do? This time it wasn't for football or a concert but an art exhibition. Read more...

The exhibition put on by Clark Art Ltd was called 'A Northern Perspective' and contained a great selection of works from L.S Lowry and several other artists, including Bob Richardson and Reg Gardner. Lowry is one of those artists whose work can be spotted a mile off (providing you've seen it before of course!) so it was great to see his work up close and personal.

While I'm all for a bit of Lowry what was really great was how well all the pieces fit together. While there was a variety of styles on show there wasn't that feeling of some outshining others, the exhibit was nicely curated and the pieces interacted really well with each other.

A couple of glasses of champers and some tasty canap├ęs later we headed off...

BUT I love a good exhibition and this one is definitely worth a visit so if you fancy it the show is on at the Etihad until the 16th of June and then will move to their Hale gallery. If you would like some more info click here!

Have you seen this exhibition or any others worth a mention? Let me know in the comments below, would love any suggestions of what to see next!
