Our Questions:

1. Who is your favourite artist / photographer and why?
Becca: Studying History of Art this should be a really easy question, but it's not! I think we have just looked at so many artists that it's hard to pick a favourite when everyone is so different. I really like art that plays with technology so I think the rain room by random international is great.

Meli: Strangely this is the hardest question. I like a lot of conceptual art installations as well as abstract expressionist painting. I don't have a huge interest in photography but I thought I'd share with you photographer, Rosie Hardy. Not a favourite artist as such, but I found her conceptual photos, particularly the self-portraits, really good! Check them out here

2. What are your current aspirations?
Meli: 'My current aspiration in life is to be happy' - sorry I couldn't resist throwing in the line from Beyoncé's new song Pretty Hurts oops. But surely that's everyone's? Thinking practically, I want to make a living working for magazine/newspapers or a similar area, writing about exiting things and generally find something I love doing and be successful at it. But maybe I should get through my postgraduate course first. I also am looking forward to travelling and getting out and seeing/doing new things.

Becca: Sounds about right! Making a living from something I love is the dream, but right now I really want to make the most of having the time to travel and see the world before jumping into a job. I also plan on getting some more projects on the go, organising a few events, while developing those that I have already started like my website 'Make Me A Geek' and this blog!

3. How would you describe your 'style'?
Becca/Meli: I think we have pretty similar styles, in fact on holiday we have to actively make sure that we're not just wearing variations of the same outfit...

It's probably categorised as smart yet casual. We both like comfort of jeans paired with boots and a smart blazer/jacket and maybe a pretty scarf from day to day. Also we tend to be attracted to funky prints/bright colours... Anything that stands out is good!

4. What is your favourite SS/14 trend?
Meli/Becca: From what we've seen from highlights of LFW at the moment it seems pastel colours and florals are a must this spring. Both of us tend to wear lots of feminine, floral/Lacey fabrics as well as combing adorable pinks/blues in our outfits. So i'd have to say we can't wait for these to hit the high street!

5. Desert Island Disks - what two albums would you pick to listen to if you were cast away?
Becca: I don't have a particularly good music taste.. I'm constantly listening to the top 40, capital fm is pretty much the soundtrack to my life. But if I had to pick two albums to listen to over and over again they would probably be Overexposed by Maroon 5, and lets go for a bit of Taylor Swift- Red. Judge away...

Meli: I'm not the kind to have my iPod with me wherever I go. The only point of the day I seem to listen to music is 4music on the treadmill...so I always know the top 40. However, I love Beyoncé's albums old and new. Coincidently I'm a big fan of her other half Jay Z (power couple or what!) so right now I love love love 'Drunk In love'. So let's say Beyoncé - 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' or 'B'Day' or even '4' ...don't make me choose! And then Jay Z - 'The Blueprint 3' (Forever Young is just so good).

6. Three things you cannot live without? (eg, phone, netflix..)
Becca: Ooo, I would be pretty lost without my phone, which is quite sad. I'm never too far from a supply of breadsticks, my no.1 snack- I love them. Finally... probably my bus pass at the moment, I use it to go literally EVERYWHERE and without it I would be making a serious lack of bus friends.

Meli: My diary is number one. My entire life is in it and I would literally be lost without it. Like Becca, I'm never off my phone and lastly probably lip balm - I hate having dry lips!

7. Favourite place/city?
Becca: So far probably Barcelona or Venice, but we're hoping to do a bit of travelling soon so this might change!

Meli: Yes! So far, Barcelona. It is amazing as it's a cultural city with lots to do and you can have beach days there too (Check out the Barcelona post here)

8. Who is your all time favourite style icon?
Meli/Becca: We were both pretty obsessed with Gossip Girl back in the day, and the outfits definitely made an impression. So we have serious envy of Blair and Serena's wardrobes.

9. All time favourite dish to eat/cook?
Becca: I'm a pasta person. Probably something chickeny/tomatoey with broccoli, or I do love a good lasagne.

Meli: I love anything Mexican. Give me tacos, fajitas, nachos, quesadillas, burritos anyday... It's making me drool as I write this!

10. Current favourite TV series? (I am rating hbo's Girls pretty highly right now...)
Becca: Sex and the city, I am absolutely hooked at the moment! And they're so short that it's far too easy to justify just watching one more...

Meli: I'm a reality show junkie so I'll be honest and say right now that Keeping up with the Kardashians is a highlight of my week, or maybe my life...

11. What wardrobe essential are you lusting after right this second?
Becca: I have been eyeing up this Zara blazer, I LOVE the colour and the detail at the back is also really pretty. In fact, just anything from Zara, I love the whole shop! *sigh*

Meli: I really want a mid-length, pastel pink coat similar to either this from from Topshop or this one from Zara. I still haven't found the perfect one yet, and it won't necessarily go with everything so I'm still considering if it's a worthwhile buy (not that this will stop me!).
