The Breakfast Club: Restaurant Review

I'd only just come across the breakfast club when hunting down pancake day ideas on Time Out. It's a really popular chain of restaurants, first started in soho, which was evident when there was a queue of 15 outside at 1pm on a Monday! When coincidentally Hannah suggested we go, I couldn't wait! She highly recommended their food and having been to their other chains, absolutely loves it! Having seen pictures of their pancakes online I already loved it before we even left the house. And I was not disappointed...

5 Advantages of 'Me' Time: Relax, being alone really isn't that bad

Everyone needs a bit of me time. Whether that’s a relaxing bath, going for a run or even a
spring clean of your wardrobe, spending time on yourself is important. Life doesn’t need to feel like one never-ending to do list. With the chaos of everyday life, it is easy to forget how valuable winding down can be. As someone who prefers to be with people all times of the day, I feel like I'm missing out when I find myself alone at home with nothing to do. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing! Read on the find out why...

The Art Exhibition That Every Blogger Should See: Digital Zoo

Why? Well because this could be your bedroom...

Ok so we both know this isn't actually your bedroom, unless you're the Canadian girl called Kay who the artist based it on, BUT it could just as easily be yours! Liz Sterry, the artist, followed Kay's blog for three months and having never met Kay she was able to recreate an exact copy of her bedroom based on selfie's and all the information she had put up online. Now Kay's bedroom is touring around Britain, and is currently in a shopping centre in Leeds. Creepy!

The Ice Cube Leeds: Get Your Skates On!

Since I went to watch the synchro skating over christmas (which you can read about here) I have been wanting to get my skates back on and hit the ice, so when I saw the outdoor rink was up in Leeds I couldn't wait for the chance to give it a go, and that chance finally came on saturday- yay!

After having built up how excited I was, and potentially having slightly over played my previous skating experience, I spent the walk to the rink reeling off all my excuses to my friend as to why when we got there I was actually going to be rubbish. The classics are the best... the boots they provide at these places are awful, and I haven't skated in SOOO long (both true by the way, of course).

It worked, he didn't expect much and I met those low expectations.
In fact, we ended up looking a little bit like this...

Workout Wednesdays: Let The Games Begin!

Heard all your friends saying they are going off to Spinning, Zumba or Boxercise? Wondering what goes down in these classes? So do we. We have decided to fix this by trying out all of these classes. In keeping with the new year, we want to work out and stay healthy like many of you. To make sure this buzz doesn't die out after the first month we want to spice things up. As we try to go to the gym when we have time, it seems silly not to take advantage of everything on offer…

Turner Contemporary - Helen Frankenthaler and J.M.W Turner

This weekend I went to see the ‘Making Painting: Helen Frankenthaler and J.M.W Turner’ Exhibition. This retrospective shows smaller works produced by both artists throughout their lifetime. The comparison between J.M.W Turner (1775 – 1851) and Helen Frankenthaler (1928-2011) is interesting as with nearly a century separating the two, you would not think to make this comparison.

Got Yourself A Valentine This Year? Make It Count!

For those of us lucky enough to share this day with that special someone, let's make the most of it and really show them how much they mean to you. It may be a cheesy holiday, with bears, flowers and heart-shaped chocolates flooding the shops but that shouldn't put you off. Embrace the day. What better excuse to buy all the cute gifts and make your boyfriend/girlfriend smile. With this being my first proper valentines day I've been hunting down inspiration and can't wait to make this an amazing day...

Single On Valentines Day? Don't Worry We'll Get Through This Together...

I LOVE Valentines day. I love the cards, teddies, flowers, seriously shower me with all things romantic and cheesy I will lap it up.

But these things aren’t necessary to have the perfect Valentines day, not even the men are. Don’t get me wrong, men are great. I’m a massive appreciator of the male species, and if you have a man get planning the perfect romantic evening. BUT if you happen to be single, lets not wallow ladies.. MAKE THE MOST OF IT, it won’t always be this way...

Life As A Third Year: Facts

So I'm well on my way to finishing university with only one and a half terms left to complete. I can see the end and it terrifies me! I can't believe it has gone so quick as I can still remember freshers week like it was a few months ago. But at the same time looking at the person I was three years ago, I hardly recognize myself. I had no idea who I was, what I liked or who I wanted to be. Now with the prospect of real adulthood around the corner, I am pleased to say I have a good idea of all three. Although there is so much more I need to learn and experiences to be had, it's comforting for the moment. As a third year, I am able to reflect on my time at Uni and make the absolute most of everything before it's over. Don't let this depress you though, if anything it is just the beginning! Take a look at my third year facts and why, through what seems like never-ending work and stress- filled weekends, it really isn't that bad...

Canal Mills Leeds - Brandon Street Night Market

I'm not one to pass up on an opportunity for pancakes, so when I heard there'd be a stall at the night market we had to go.
